Nurture Teacher – Part Time (3 Days per Week)

A school in Harlow is seeking a Nurture Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis (3 days per week) starting 30th April. This role involves teaching pupils across KS2, KS3, and KS4 in a supportive nurture environment, helping students engage with learning and develop confidence.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work with small groups of pupils, providing a supportive and structured environment that helps them re-engage with education.

Key responsibilities include:

* Teaching and supporting pupils across KS2, KS3, and KS4

* Planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons in nurture-style settings

* Ideally delivering creative subjects such as DT, Art, and Cooking

* Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development

* Adapting lessons to meet the needs of pupils who may require additional support or alternative approaches to learning

* Building positive relationships with pupils to promote engagement and confidence

* Working collaboratively with staff to support pupils’ progress and wellbeing

Candidate Profile

The school would particularly welcome candidates who:

* Have experience teaching creative subjects such as DT, Art, or Food/Cooking

* Alternatively have a Geography or History specialism, or are a primary-trained teacher able to teach up to GCSE level

* Have strong classroom management and the ability to engage pupils with diverse learning needs

* Are patient, adaptable, and passionate about supporting students in a nurture-based setting

* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Requirements

* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential

* Experience teaching across multiple key stages

* Ability to plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
