What the Role Will Involve
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils access their learning and develop important life skills.
Your role will involve:
• Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups
• Helping students engage with classroom activities and lessons
• Encouraging communication, independence, and confidence
• Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
• Assisting with sensory activities and daily routines
• Helping pupils during transitions between lessons and activities
• Working alongside teachers, therapists, and other Teaching Assistants
Every day will be different, but the focus will always be on helping pupils feel supported, confident, and able to take part in their learning.
