Technical Estimator

As a Technical Estimator you will be responsible for assessing all technical information regarding a project including Materials, labour, production complexity and feasibility to generate a realistic and competitive quotation for customers. Applicants will be required to work both individually and as part of a team to drive sales and develop long-standing connections with both new and existing customers.

• Technical Analysis:
  Interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Cost Estimation:
  Calculating detailed costs for materials, equipment, labour, and transport to produce accurate quotes.
• Bid Management:
  Preparing, reviewing, and submitting comprehensive tenders and cost reports for new projects.
• Risk Assessment:
  Assessing project risks and implementing cost‑saving measures without compromising quality.
• Production Coordination:
  Collaborating with the Technical, Procurement, Quality and Production department to ensure that work can be effectively conducted before quoting.
• Project Monitoring:
  Tracking project costs against original forecasts cost of needed material to adjust price as needed.

• Technical Knowledge:
  Ability to read and understand technical drawings, Produce Technical datasheets and specifications.
• Software Proficiency:
  Microsoft Suite
• Numeracy and Accuracy:
  Excellent mathematical skills for calculating quantities and costs.
• Communication:
  Strong interpersonal skills for negotiating with customers and collaborating with internal teams
