Relocation assistance available Copello is supporting the recruitment of a Senior Product Test Development Engineer to join an established and growing engineering team within a highly regulated, advanced technology environment.

The Role As a Senior Product Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, manufacture, verification, validation, and through-life support of test equipment at board, sub-system, and system level.
You will work on complex electronic systems deployed across a range of demanding applications, contributing to technically challenging and safety-critical programmes.
Key Responsibilities Design and develop functional test equipment for electronic systems
Lead and support hardware/software integration and fault diagnosis
Provide lifecycle and production support, including issue resolution and obsolescence management
Work collaboratively across engineering disciplines to deliver scalable test solutions
Lead design reviews and produce high-quality technical documentation
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Required Experience Strong knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design
Ability to produce detailed technical design documentation
Experience transferring designs into production environments
Excellent hardware fault-finding and debugging skills
Test software development experience
Experience supporting and debugging system integration
Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (minimum BPSS, ideally SC)
Desirable Experience Significant industry experience in test development
Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools
Knowledge of common test architectures (e.g., PXI/LXI)
Understanding of measurement uncertainty and its application in test equipment validation
Experience with LabVIEW, CVI, Test Stand, C# or similar software tools
Mixed-signal circuit design
High-speed serial networksRF electronics knowledge
