Shift pattern: 06:00 - 18:00 4 days on 4 days off

Salary up to £51,409.75 (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience)

Riverway Foods was a family owned business based in Harlow, Essex until becoming part of the CPC Group. We produce some of the best sausages around and supply to major retailers including Aldi and Tesco.

The role of our Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer is primarily to support the running of the factory by resolving breakdowns and by delivering planned maintenance. Equally as important our Engineers are required to drive improvement across the site in terms of new machinery, hygiene, quality, and performance.

• Responsible for proactive and reactive maintenance work, whilst making sure it is carried out to the highest possible standards across the whole of the site.
• Work with a sense of urgency to repair and collaborate with Production Teams to ensure machinery and equipment is back up and running in a timely fashion.
• Be flexible and commutable distance to Harlow.

• Apprentice trained in a related engineering discipline Electrical and Mechanical.
• NVQ3 or above/ONC/HNC in a related engineering discipline Electrical and Mechanical.

• Experience of Engineering within a FMCG, food production environment is preferred; if you have great hands‑on electrical engineering experience we will consider you.
• Familiarity with the latest UK electrical regulations.
• Experience in Industrial electrical regulations.
• PLC diagnostic experience (not programming).
• Continuous improvement experience, tools and techniques.
• Problem solving ability.
• Working accurately & methodically.
• Confident communication skills.
• Good understanding of customer deliverables & impact of failure.
• Flexible approach to duties & tasks.
• Working knowledge of RCA.
• Self‑motivated with great initiative.
