The Role
As the successful Citizen Engineer (Programmer/Setter) you will:
Program and set CNC Citizen sliding head lathes.
Work from engineering drawings to produce high-precision components.
Take jobs through the full machining process including prove-out and inspection.
Machine small-batch components (typically 1–100 off) to tight tolerances.

Machinery & Controls:
Must have experience with Citizen M-Series and L-Series machines
Sliding head experience essential
Ability to independently manage machining cycles from setup to inspection

Key Responsibilities
Create and edit CNC programs at the machine
Work to tight tolerances (typically ±0.01mm)
Machine a range of metallic materials including stainless, aluminium, brass and exotic alloys
Ensure dimensional accuracy throughout the machining process
Skills & Experience Required
Proven background in CNC sliding head turning
Citizen experience essential — M-Series and L-Series required
Programming and setting from scratch
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
CAD/CAM knowledge beneficial but not essential
Comfortable working to tight tolerances on varied materials
Able to take full ownership of machining operations from setup to final inspection
Hours & Overtime
Day shift
Monday – Thursday, 7am to 4pm & Friday, 7am to 12pm
