We're recruiting for an Accounts Controller to join a well-established and growing international manufacturing business based in Hull. Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function, taking ownership of accounts payable processes, payroll administration and month-end accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable Processing supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring accurate coding and approvals Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice and payment queries Preparing and processing supplier payment runs Managing cashbooks and posting bank transactions Investigating and resolving outstanding creditor balances Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and procedures Payroll Processing monthly payroll for hourly-paid employees Preparing payroll journals, including wages, PAYE, National Insurance and pension entries Reconciling payroll-related accounts and balance sheet items Managing payroll accruals, including holiday pay and bonus provisions Ensuring HMRC submissions and payments are completed accurately and on time Month-End & Financial Reporting Preparing accruals, prepayments and monthly journals Reconciling balance sheet accounts Reviewing GRNI, creditor balances and overhead expenditure Completing intercompany reconciliations Supporting monthly reporting and overhead analysis Assisting with ad hoc finance projects and process improvements

About You:

Previous experience within a busy finance environment Strong accounts payable and month-end accounting experience Payroll experience would be highly advantageous Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business Confident user of Excel and Microsoft Office Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system would be beneficial What's on Offer?
