Nursery Nurse Level 3

Overview

Provide a warm, safe, and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5 years. Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development through play-based learning. Observe, assess, and record children’s progress to inform planning and share with parents and carers. Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a caring, inclusive, and professional setting.

Support daily routines, including meal times, toileting, and outdoor play. Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.

• Previous experience working in a nursery, preschool, or early years setting.
• Experience supporting children’s learning and development within the EYFS framework.
• Ability to form strong relationships with children, parents, and team members.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development.
• Creative, caring, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
• Reliable, organised, and proactive in supporting the nursery team.

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, or equivalent.
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training desirable (or willingness to complete).
