Utility Lines Construction Services is seeking a Transmission Journeyman Lineman to build, maintain, and repair overhead transmission lines under the direction of the Foreperson, General Foreperson, Project Manager, and Supervisor. The role involves safe operation of equipment including digger trucks and bucket trucks to construct and maintain de-energized overhead transmission lines. Travel is required.

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Pay:
Competitive/Hourly
- Installation and maintenance of wood poles, H-frames, steel poles, lattice towers, and concrete poles.
- Installs, operates, maintains, and repairs overhead electrical power lines and systems.
- Assists in the construction of transmission and substation facilities.
- Works on various structure types of transmission lines at voltages from 69 kV to 500 kV.
- Establishing OSHA and company/customer safety requirements.
- Mentoring ground persons and apprentice line persons.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Able to climb wood poles, steel poles, and lattice steel towers without the assistance of a Boom or Bucket Truck.
- Ability to work at heights up to and above 100 feet.
- Able to drive all vehicles assigned to the line crew.
- NCCCO Certification is preferred but not required.
- Experience with backhoe, trencher, excavator, skid steer, bulldozer, and other equipment required.
- Upon offer, employees are required to pass pre-employment drug screen and background and/or MVR check.
- CDL preferred.
- Driver License required.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home.
- Occasional (up to 33%):
Sitting, Kneeling, Crawling. - Frequent (up to 66%):
Stooping, Squatting, Body Twisting, Manual Dexterity, Reading, Climbing Ladders, Climbing On/Off Truck, Climbing Poles, Gripping, and Climbing Stairs. - Continuous (up to 100%):
Standing, Walking, Sense of Touch, Speaking Clearly, Seeing Distant, Seeing, Reaching, Range of Motion, Hearing/Speech, Depth Perception, Color Vision, Lifting, Carrying, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting 10–50 lbs, Balancing.
- Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required; may participate in emergency/disaster recovery.
- Work around hazardous equipment and energized parts or equipment.
- Work around excessive noise with proper hearing protection.
- Work at varying heights and in confined spaces with PPE.
