As a Maintenance Technician for Homeland Center, you would contribute to our community of caring by helping to provide our residents with a safe and comfortable living environment by ensuring that our facility is fully operational.

• This opening is primarily day shift with a rotating weekend and holiday schedule.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficiency in repair and understanding of basic trades (e.g. plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
• Must be able to complete a basic knowledge and proficiency test prior to hiring offer.
• Basic knowledge of fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
• Basic knowledge of generator usage.
• Sound knowledge of hydronic heating systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills required.

Education, Experience, and Licenses:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a long-term health care setting preferred.
• Experience with small engine repair and maintenance.
• Valid Pennsylvania Drivers' License

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
