As a Maintenance Technician for Homeland Center, you would contribute to our community of caring by helping to provide our residents with a safe and comfortable living environment by ensuring that our facility is fully operational.
• This opening is primarily day shift with a rotating weekend and holiday schedule.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
- Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Proficiency in repair and understanding of basic trades (e.g. plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
- Must be able to complete a basic knowledge and proficiency test prior to hiring offer.
- Basic knowledge of fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
- Basic knowledge of generator usage.
- Sound knowledge of hydronic heating systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer skills required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a long-term health care setting preferred.
- Experience with small engine repair and maintenance.
- Valid Pennsylvania Drivers' License
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
