Job SummaryCarrier Placement Specialist position in the Midwest. Strategic placement approaches for complex accounts; evaluation of large deductible programs, captives, and layered insurance towers. Independent decision-making, strong analytical and negotiation skills, close collaboration with Client Advisors, Account Service Teams, and carrier partners.
Responsibilities- Strategize placement approaches for complex accounts, including large deductible programs, captives, and layered insurance towers.
- Engage with carriers, broker partners, and cross-functional teams to develop optimal risk transfer solutions.
- Collaborate with Client Advisors, Account Service Teams, and carrier partners to evaluate client needs and recommend placement solutions.
- Maintain active knowledge of market trends, carrier program offerings, and competitive positioning.
- Excellent phone etiquette and written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum supervision; able to accept directions on given assignments.
- Proficient with MS Office products, high knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Experience with Agency Management Systems required;
Applied Epic preferred. - Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure document accuracy.
- Team environment with strong customer service skills.
- 2+ years relevant insurance experience; mid-to-large commercial account placements preferred.
- Must hold a Property & Casualty license in the state where you reside.
- Preferred professional designations CRM, CISR, CIC, AAI, ARM, CPCU.
- Experience marketing accounts to carriers; excellent knowledge of markets and strong negotiation skills.
Base compensation range: $45,000 - $128,000. Placement within the range based on skills, experience, qualifications, location, internal equity.
On-site presence required for team collaboration.
