Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and dependable Deck Builder / Lead Carpenter to support residential deck, pergola, 3 & 4 season room construction projects. This role involves hands‑on carpentry work as well as leadership responsibilities, including supervising the crew and coordinating daily jobsite activities. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, demonstrates a strong work ethic, and thrives in a team‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead job site construction activities, including site preparation, demolition, team leadership/directing, tool & hardware management, and communication with admin staff and with clients.
- Perform all carpentry work related to deck and pergola construction, including, but not limited to:
- Deck framing, board installation, & railing installation
- Bug screen and privacy screen installation
- Pergola and roofline additions
- Low-Voltage Light Installation
- 3 & 4 Season Room Additions
- Assign tasks to crew members and clearly explain project expectations in order to meet each projects object
- Supervise, train, and mentor unskilled, semi-skilled, and seasonal workers
- Manage labor, time, and material resources for each project
- Work with the admin team & ownership to create, maintain, and adjust project schedules as needed
- Order and manage construction materials and supplies if any are lacking from initial jobsite order
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and project progress
- Proven experience in residential construction or remodeling
- Strong background in carpentry and deck construction
- Prior experience in a leadership role preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Knowledge of jobsite safety standards and procedures
- Proficiency in safely operating power and hand tools
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Major Holidays Off
- Base salary: $65,000+
- Project under budget bonuses
- 2 weeks paid time off (PTO)
