Special Education Paraprofessional
Harrison School District is accepting applications for a Special Education Paraprofessional position for the school year. The position is full-time (1.0 FTE). Primary duties include working with children under the direction of the classroom teacher. Applicants must possess one of the following requirements:
- appropriate AQT requirements
- 60 college hours
- passing score on Arkansas ETS Praxis Paraprofessional Test
The district is seeking an individual who can:
- Provide personal care to students
- Work under the direction of the classroom teacher
- Ability to stoop, kneel, and lift/move up to 40 pounds
- Work with students in whole group, small group, and one-on-one settings
- Form positive relationships with parents, students, and staff
- Demonstrate effective communication within the school community
- Assist students with academic needs
- Maintain confidentiality
