Bath Makeover of the Ozarks is the Natural State's trusted source for bathtubs, showers, and walk‑in tubs. Locally owned with an American‑made product, we are growing fast and looking to expand our staff.
Position OverviewWe are seeking an Independent Contractor Design Consultant to generate new business, build client relationships, and guide clients the remodeling process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Sales Development & Lead Generation – Run design consultations, proactively prospect new clients through referrals, networking, online leads, and follow up on inbound inquiries.
- Client Consultation – Meet with clients to assess remodeling needs, offer design consultations, and provide detailed project proposals. Educate clients on remodeling options, budgeting, and timelines.
- Negotiation & Closing – Guide clients through contract negotiation, finalize sales, and ensure all documentation is accurate for project handoff.
- Relationship Management – Build and maintain long‑term client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Product Knowledge – Stay current on bath‑remodeling trends, materials, and construction techniques to provide innovative solutions.
- Collaboration – Work with design and operations teams to execute projects per budget and timeline.
- Sales Reporting – Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and progress; report to management.
- Customer Satisfaction – Offer exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and address any concerns.
- Professionalism – Maintain a high standard of professionalism in all client interactions.
- Self‑Driven – Strong work ethic, self‑starter, and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Reliability – Meet deadlines and follow through on commitments.
This position is an independent contractor role. You are responsible for taxes, insurance, and business expenses. You have flexibility to set hours and work remotely, with meetings at client locations or remotely as needed.
QualificationsProven sales experience, preferably in home remodeling, construction, or real estate. A successful track record in closing deals is highly preferred.
Skills- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
- Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of home remodeling processes, materials, and services is a plus but not required.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are required.
Flexibility to manage schedule. Independently responsible for scheduling meetings, consultations, and follow‑ups with clients at times that work for both parties, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
Compensation- Commission‑Based Pay – Competitive commission structure based on the size and scope of projects sold.
