Position

Summary

The Stadium Events Sales Specialist drives third‑party promoter and private event rentals at Sports Illustrated Stadium through proactive sales, relationship‑building, and targeted outreach. The specialist works closely with the Head of Stadium Events to manage event bookings, ensuring smooth operations for both internal club events and external non‑RBNY events, which in turn generate ticket and non‑ticket revenue. The role is a primary point of contact for promoters, corporate and private clients, and internal partners, overseeing the full lifecycle of special events from booking through post‑event evaluation.

Responsibilities
  • Generate private event rentals through proactive sales and relationship‑building with third‑party promoters, event producers, and corporate clients.
  • Collaborate with the in‑house partner promoter to coordinate schedules, ensure date availability, and support mutually beneficial programming.
  • Oversee the booking of non‑RBNY events at the stadium, including sporting events, concerts, corporate events, and private functions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for promoters and clients, answering inquiries and providing information on dates, event requirements, and pricing.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with promoters, clients, and vendors, ensuring clear agreements on logistics, fees, and all event aspects.
  • Act as liaison between event clients and the stadium’s Food & Beverage department, coordinating room layouts, event diagrams, and customized space usage.
  • Support the maintenance of the master event calendar, ensuring optimal scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Work with internal teams—Operations, Marketing, Security, Ticketing—to scope, plan, and execute large‑scale events.
  • Track and analyze event revenue, pipeline opportunities, and profitability; develop regular reports and forecasts to meet or exceed annual goals.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to promote upcoming events and attract new clients, creating promotional materials, press releases, and website updates.
  • Review event feedback, provide executive reports on performance, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist with invoicing and revenue tracking for all events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Two to three years of experience in event bookings and sales, particularly in sports or other live entertainment.
  • Experience working with both corporate private clients and large entertainment third‑party promoters.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and presentation development skills.
  • Ability to work non‑traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require.
  • Demonstrated success in event booking, client relationship management, and revenue generation.
  • Understanding of event operations, including food & beverage coordination, A/V needs, and space planning.
  • Proficiency in event diagramming software (e.g., Social Tables, AutoCAD) and CRM systems is a plus.
  • Industry network and familiarity with national and regional touring acts, sports organizations, and event producers.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial models and projections.
  • Excellent interpersonal and external communication skills.
  • Certification in event planning (e.g., CMP – Certified Meeting Professional) is a plus.
