Coaching Singing Teacher Alyson Isbrandtsen Team

The Alyson Isbrandtsen team is seeking someone with a strong background and advanced training in vocal technique and vocal pedagogy to join our team as a Voice Teacher. This is an independent contractor position.

We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of vocal technique, vocal health, and the anatomy and function of the voice. Candidates should have a degree or advanced training in Musical Theatre, Vocal Performance, Voice, Vocal Pedagogy, or a recognized vocal pedagogy certification. Recent college graduates with the right training and background are encouraged to apply.

Professional industry experience is important. Candidates should have firsthand experience in the professional audition world and understand what is expected of performers auditioning and working professionally. A strong knowledge of musical theatre and contemporary vocal styles is essential.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who loves working with children and young performers. Our students range from young children through young adults, with many actively auditioning and working professionally on Broadway, national tours, regional theatre, film and television.

The position is primarily remote, so applicants do not need to be based in the New York area. This is a flexible, part-time position with the opportunity to build to a fuller teaching schedule. Teachers set their own availability and work with students based on their schedule.

Selected teachers will complete an onboarding, training, and observation period with Alyson before beginning with students. Training may take place remotely or in person.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Compensation is based on experience and lesson length.
