Project Engineer/Designer Job Summary
3S Incorporated is seeking an entry level designer or engineer to design special hazard fire suppression and fire alarm systems.
Responsibilities- Design life safety and asset protection systems using AutoCAD and proprietary software applications
- Update existing drawings
- Direct contractors in proper system installation and operation
- Survey job sites to ensure proper system design and installation
- Assist in system startups and commissioning
- Assist with system inspection and maintenance
- Create project specific operation and maintenance manuals
- Assist office staff with engineering related tasks
- Attend manufacturer training classes
List minimum requirements for education, experience, and proficiencies
- Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting
- Understanding of MS Office applications
- Good organizational skills
- Able to communicate technical information
- Desire to learn industry standards
- Willingness to study for and obtain NICET certification
