Information:

James Madison University (JMU) School of Nursing (SON) invites applications for a 12-month, full-time appointment beginning August 1, 2026. This is an AP Faculty position with the rank of Instructor. The School of Nursing offers CCNE-accredited Baccalaureate, Master’s, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs. The SON seeks a motivated individual to join a student-centered team dedicated to multifaceted support, academic guidance, collaboration, and ongoing growth.

Provides academic advising to prospective and current nursing students, supporting their academic planning, progress, and success through individualized guidance, communication, and connection to resources. Advises prospective and current nursing students on academic planning, progress, and success. Supports orientation, recruitment, and student success initiatives across the School of Nursing and university.
