Summary
LLE Education is looking for enthusiastic childcare professionals who want to make a positive impact in the lives of our students. As a Director in Training, you will gain hands‑on training, participate in on‑site projects, and prepare to lead your own school.
What you will do:- You will be trusted with a wide range of tasks essential to the smooth running of the school and to the educational development of the children.
- Assist the Director with the operation of the school, ensuring compliance with company and state licensing standards.
- Be responsible for ensuring an educational, caring and safe environment for children and parents.
- Spark imagination, build self‑esteem, and help children discover new things each day.
- Teach, educate, and monitor children as needed.
- Assist Director in staff development and training.
- Attend meetings as necessary to aid in business and organizational development as directed by the District Director or his/her supervisors.
- Travel to multiple childcare centers in the Richmond area to both assist and learn.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Early childhood professional credential such as a CDA, CCP or AAS in early childhood education;
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred. - Knowledge of applicable laws, rules and regulations relevant to the operations of a childcare facility.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of supervision and training, and instruction methods, programs, philosophies, and theories relevant to the operation of a childcare facility.
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills and the ability to communicate to a wide‑ranging audience including those with varied educational levels and backgrounds.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and management of budgets.
- At least one year of experience in a supervisory role.
- At least two years of experience as a classroom teacher or childcare provider.
- Nights & weekends OFF.
