General InformationThe Office of Disability Services (ODS) at James Madison University (JMU) is seeking a talented, motivated person to work as a part-time Exam Accommodations Assistant. This is a 9-month position that corresponds with the JMU fall and spring semesters:
August through May. This posting is for a part-time wage position with no benefits. This position is limited to a maximum of 1,500 hours per year (May 1 to April 30), with an average of 29 hours per week.
The regular shift is six to eight hours per day, Monday – Thursday, between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. and Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with alternate hours during Final Exam Week (December and May).
Due to the access this position has to undergraduate records, current JMU Undergraduate students are not eligible for this position.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the ODS Exam Accommodations Coordinator, the Exam Accommodations Assistant will support exam accommodations and proctoring efforts. More specifically, the Exam Accommodations Assistant will:
