Overview:
Sentara RMH Medical Center is now hiring a Registered Nurse for the 5 West Medical Surgical unit. This position is ideal for candidates with exceptional customer service skills who have experience or interest in stroke/AMS/TIA/Dialysis and a mixture of other med/surg disease processes.

Sign on bonus up to $20,000 offered plus relocation assistance (if specified criteria is met).

Education Associates or Bachelor's Degree - Nursing (Required)

Upcoming graduates will be given consideration Certification/Licensure Registered Nurse (Required)

Experience Previous acute care experience (preferred)

This 10-week TTP program focuses on the orientation transition experience with intentional knowledge support and skill acquisition for practice in Medical-Surgical areas. For new graduates, this TTP program is the start of a comprehensive 6-month residency program to support your transition to practice.

Program includes:

• Formal delivery of fundamental nursing concepts and standards with in-person sessions utilizing case studies, gaming, simulation, and skills labs
• Exposure to Sentara policies and evidence-based practice guidelines
• Hands-on experience alongside a trained nurse preceptor
• Opportunity to share your experiences/ networking with peers in a safe, protected environment
• A series of virtual professional development sessions with mentoring (optional for experienced nurses)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
