Industrial Process Pipe Fitter and Pipe Welder

Southern Air Inc. is seeking an Industrial Process Pipe Fitter and Pipe Welder (preferably able to certify in TIG & Stick) to work in Harrisonburg, VA. The role involves fitting large and small‑bore weld and screw piping, PVC and copper, and may include rigging pipe and heavy equipment.

Perform industrial piping tasks including fitting, welding, and installation of boilers, chillers, and cooling towers.

• 5+ years experience in industrial piping.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and P&.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Experience with boilers, chillers, and cooling tower installation.
• Coordinate subcontractors and schedule job tasks.
• Rigging pipe and heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Skill in preparing large‑bore weld pipe and understanding fitting take‑outs.
• Knowledge of carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, and copper piping.

• Basic hand‑tools proficiency.

Job requires frequent use of hands, ability to sit, talk, hear, stand, climb, reach, stoop, kneel, and crawl. Must lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather, and handle construction materials and chemicals.
