Required:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in related field

Education Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
Direct Supervisor: Director of Facilities

Work Location:
Both indoors and outdoors depending on project needs.
Physical requirements: This is operative work requiring the exertion of up to and exceeding 50 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects.
Certification: Valid Driver’s License. Journeyman or Master trade License preferred.
Job Summary
:
Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of County facilities.
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all the following essential duties:
- Perform repairs and maintenance on county electrical systems
- Perform repairs and maintenance on county plumbing systems
- Perform repairs and maintenance on county mechanical systems
- Perform repairs and maintenance on county structural systems
- Perform related tasks as required
- Blueprint reading and schematic drawings
- Understanding of construction and maintenance industry from a variety of trade perspectives including, but not limited to electrical, plumbing, structural and mechanical systems
- HVAC controls and web-based building automation systems (BAS)
- OSHA regulations and safe work practices
- Tooling, equipment, and machinery used to perform required work
- Principles and practices for providing quality customer service
- Advanced level of maintenance skills to be able to perform a wide variety of repairs and maintenance tasks
- Read and understand all types of blueprints, schematic drawings, and construction documents
- Follow oral and written instruction and work with minimal supervision
- Work in all weather conditions
- Work efficiently with attention to detail
- Regular work attendance is required
