• Prepare and serve meals to residents in the community
• Ensure all special dietary needs are met, including texture‑modified diets as directed
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, kitchen spaces, and dishes
• Properly discard leftovers and remove trash according to procedures
• Follow color coding and tray card abbreviations for therapeutic menus
• Maintain kitchen equipment and appliances
• Attend all mandatory in‑services, trainings, and department meetings

• Friendly demeanor with strong communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff
• Ability to read
• Ability to meet physical demands, including standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Food service experience preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
