Medical Assistant - 2nd Shift Weekdays

Isaiah House is a faith‑based nonprofit dedicated to delivering effective substance use disorder treatment. We are looking for a dedicated and driven Medical Assistant to support our medical staff and patients during the 2nd shift weekdays.

Responsibilities
  • Take vital signs, prepare patients for exams, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Assist with scheduling, patient check‑ins, and ensure clinic cleanliness.
  • Perform CLIA‑waived testing such as blood glucose, assist with medication administration and telehealth visits.
  • Support nurses with information gathering, manage controlled medications, and maintain inventory of OTC products.
  • Document interactions in the EHR, upload medical paperwork, and complete incident reports.
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to emergencies.
  • Maintain quality control logs, keep medical rooms clean and orderly, and comply with safety procedures.
  • Participate in recovery, mental health, and co‑occurring disorder programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Complete all required competencies and training.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recovery, mental health, and co‑occurring disorders; preferred experience in residential and/or outpatient addiction treatment.
  • Strong attention to detail, kindness, and the ability to stay calm in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with medical staff.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Report issues to RN Lead and director of Medical Operations as needed.
  • Be prepared and on time for each scheduled shift.
  • Consistently clock in/out via Paylocity.
  • Submit time‑off requests at least 2 weeks in advance.
  • Check AED, First Aid Kits, Spill Kits, and Eye Wash Stations monthly.
  • Complete all documentation same day service is rendered.
  • Respond to emails, Teams, and texts in a timely manner.
  • Participate in positive team culture and follow policies and procedures.
