An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Audit & Accounts to join a well‑established and highly regarded accountancy firm based in Harrogate.
This is an ideal opportunity for an A-level leaver or graduate looking to build a long‑term career in accountancy, with full training and ACA study support provided. You will gain valuable experience working with a diverse portfolio of clients while developing both your technical accounting and audit skills.
The Role Working closely with experienced members of the team, you will gain exposure to a broad range of accountancy and audit work, including:
- Assisting with the preparation of accounts for a variety of clients.
- Supporting the delivery of external audits from planning through to completion.
- Preparing basic tax computations and returns.
- Carrying out accounts and audit testing and investigating any issues identified.
- Assisting with bookkeeping and general accounting duties as required.
- Developing strong relationships with clients and gaining an understanding of their businesses.
- Working as part of a supportive team while progressively taking on more responsibility.
The Person The firm is keen to hear from candidates who are genuinely interested in developing a career in accountancy. You could be:
- An A-level leaver looking to start a career in professional services.
- A graduate with a relevant degree or a strong interest in accountancy.
- Someone with some previous office or accounts experience who is keen to progress.
- Strong numeracy, attention to detail and good communication skills are important.
- Most importantly, you will be enthusiastic, committed and keen to learn.
