A leading structural steel specialist is currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and cost aspects of structural steel and off‑site construction projects, from tender through to final account, in North Yorkshire.
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum (DOE)
Duties- Prepare cost estimates, budgets and cash flow forecasts for structural steel and off‑site packages
- Measure and value works in progress; prepare interim valuations and applications for payment
- Manage subcontractor procurement, accounts and payments, including sub‑contract orders and variations
- Prepare, negotiate and agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors
- Produce monthly cost/value reconciliation (CVR) reports for management
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within structural steel, off‑site manufacturing, or the wider construction sector
- Strong knowledge of forms of contract (JCT/NEC)
