Teacher of Religious Studies

About the role:

justteachers are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Harrogate to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Religious Education (RE) for a long‑term supply position starting in September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an RE specialist to join a supportive Humanities department and deliver engaging, thought‑provoking lessons that encourage discussion, reflection, and understanding across Key Stages 3 and 4.

• Teaching Religious Education to KS3 and KS4 student
• Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
• Assessing, monitoring, and supporting student progress
• Promoting respectful discussion and critical thinking
• Working collaboratively within the Humanities department
• Maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour and learning

• QTS or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
• Experience teaching RE in a secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
• Ability to commit to a long‑term supply role from September
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils’ personal and academic development
