About the role
justteachers is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Harrogate to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term supply basis from September.
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs helping them to access learning and reach their full potential within the classroom.
Key Responsibilities- Provide in-class and small-group support for pupils with SEN
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted support
- Support pupils’ academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and social development
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a primary school setting
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN is highly desirable
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Two education or school-based references
