We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of French and Spanish to join Harrogate Grammar School on a maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and collaborative Languages Faculty that is committed to providing high-quality learning experiences and ensuring every student can achieve their potential.

Learning a language opens doors to new cultures, perspectives and opportunities. We believe all students can develop confidence in communicating in another language when they are supported through engaging, inclusive and ambitious teaching. Through the study of French and Spanish, students develop valuable communication skills, cultural understanding and confidence that will benefit them throughout their education and beyond.

As a Teacher of French and Spanish, you will play an important role in delivering an engaging curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, helping students to develop their language skills, broaden their cultural awareness and achieve success. You will join a supportive department that values collaboration, professional learning and evidence-informed practice, working together to achieve the best possible outcomes for all students.

We are looking for a teacher who shares our belief that every student can succeed and who is committed to creating a learning environment where all young people feel supported, included and able to thrive. Whether supporting students in their first experiences of language learning or preparing them for further study, you will help develop confident communicators with an appreciation of different languages, cultures and perspectives.
