Senior Geotechnical Engineer

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our client's dynamic and reputable team in Harrogate. As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing expertise and guidance on geotechnical projects, contributing to the successful delivery of both small and large-scale projects.

• Undertake geotechnical investigations, site visits, and assessments to gather essential data and information.
• Design and implement geotechnical engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Conduct detailed analysis and interpretation of geotechnical data to identify potential risks and provide recommendations.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote effective project management and seamless integration of engineering solutions.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering their professional development and growth.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality to ensure objectives are met within prescribed time frames.

• Degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on geotechnical site investigations and design.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Proficient in geotechnical software and tools, such as Plaxis, Slope / W, FLAC, and gINT.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• A self‑motivated and adaptable individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
