• Independently design, document & analyse mechanical components.
• Select appropriate materials, processes and methods for designs.
• Perform detailed analysis and specification (e.g. tolerance and stress analysis).
• Document project progress, including design changes and test results.
• Support compliance with industry and company standards.
• Create, review and approve design documentation from team members.
• Develop detailed project plans for assigned tasks.
• Ensure projects stay on track to agreed timelines.
• Mentor junior engineers in technical execution.
• Coordinate tasks with cross-functional teams.
• Plan and execute performance tests for mechanical prototypes.
• Analyse test results and propose design improvements.
• Validate component and system compliance with standards.
• Present findings and designs to internal stakeholders.

• A Deree qualified engineer with post grad experience in a research setting.
• Mechanical Design knowledge ideally working with Solid Works.
• A hands‑on engineer able to undertake prototype build and test.
• Detail driven and a confident problem solver able to work independently.
• Ability to work in a rapid design and development environment.
