Role Description

The Structural Project Engineer will work full time on‑site in Harrogate, leading and supporting structural engineering projects from concept through delivery. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include performing structural analysis and design, preparing calculations and drawings, and reviewing masonry and other structural elements for safety and compliance. The role involves coordinating with civil engineering teams, liaising with clients and project stakeholders, and contributing to project planning and reporting.

The engineer will also monitor construction progress, address technical queries, and ensure that project timelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements are met.

Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Structural Engineering and Structural Analysis, including design of common structural materials and systems.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in Civil Engineering for building and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with masonry design, detailing, and assessment in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Solid Project Management skills, including planning, coordination, and progress tracking across multiple stakeholders.
  • Relevant engineering degree (e.g., Civil or Structural Engineering) and progress toward professional accreditation or chartership is beneficial.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis and design software, and familiarity with applicable UK or international design codes.
  • Effective communication, report writing, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Attention to detail, strong problem‑solving abilities, and a commitment to health, safety, and quality in engineering practice.
