Senior Civil Design Engineer – Harrogate

An established and growing Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join its experienced infrastructure team in Harrogate. Working as part of a close‑knit team, you will take the lead on the design and delivery of a wide variety of development infrastructure projects from concept through to construction. You'll be responsible for coordinating technical design packages, liaising directly with clients, architects, contractors, local authorities and statutory bodies, whilst helping to shape engineering solutions that are both technically robust and commercially practical.

Lead the design of highways, drainage, earthworks, hard standing areas and external works, producing detailed infrastructure designs using Civil3D and undertaking drainage modelling using Micro Drainage, Info Drainage or Causeway Flow. Prepare drainage strategies, SuDS designs, flood risk solutions and adoptable infrastructure designs, including S38, S104 and S278 agreements, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest technical standards and within programme.

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous consultancy experience delivering infrastructure design for development-led projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Civil3D and experience using Micro Drainage, Info Drainage or Causeway Flow.
• Experience designing highways and drainage for residential and commercial developments, with an understanding of flood risk, surface water management and adoptable infrastructure.
• Chartered Engineers or those actively progressing towards chartership with the ICE are encouraged to apply.
