As a Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of civil engineering infrastructure projects, working closely with colleagues, clients and external stakeholders.
You will be responsible for:
- Producing foul and surface water drainage designs for a variety of developments.
- Preparing drainage strategies and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) designs.
- Undertaking flood risk assessments and supporting planning applications.
- Designing highways, external works and associated infrastructure.
- Liaising with local authorities, statutory bodies and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Producing engineering calculations, technical reports and design drawings.
- Supporting projects from initial concept through to detailed design and construction.
- Contributing ideas that improve project delivery and engineering solutions.
To be successful in this Civil Engineer role, you should have:
- Experience in civil engineering design, particularly drainage design.
- Knowledge of SuDS, surface water and foul drainage design principles.
- Experience using industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with drainage software experience beneficial.
- Understanding of UK design standards and relevant legislation.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively within a team.
- A Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Working towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Salary £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience.
