As a Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of civil engineering infrastructure projects, working closely with colleagues, clients and external stakeholders.

You will be responsible for:

• Producing foul and surface water drainage designs for a variety of developments.
• Preparing drainage strategies and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) designs.
• Undertaking flood risk assessments and supporting planning applications.
• Designing highways, external works and associated infrastructure.
• Liaising with local authorities, statutory bodies and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Producing engineering calculations, technical reports and design drawings.
• Supporting projects from initial concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Contributing ideas that improve project delivery and engineering solutions.

To be successful in this Civil Engineer role, you should have:

• Experience in civil engineering design, particularly drainage design.
• Knowledge of SuDS, surface water and foul drainage design principles.
• Experience using industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with drainage software experience beneficial.
• Understanding of UK design standards and relevant legislation.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively within a team.
• A Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Working towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous but is not essential.
