Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager in daily operations and staff management Provide strong clinical leadership to nursing and care teams Take full managerial and clinical responsibility in the absence of the Registered Manager Ensure high standards of nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Maintain a safe, compliant, and homely environment for residents Participate in the on-call rota, providing clinical cover when required Supervise, support, and motivate nursing and care staff Assist with recruitment, induction, training, appraisals, and staff development Promote ongoing professional development and best practice in nursing care Coordinate clinical services, including GP and allied health professional visits Manage complaints, incidents, and safeguarding concerns as delegated Hours & Contract 36–48 hours per week Days, evenings, nights, and weekend shifts Flexible working patterns considered 36-hour contract: 24 clinical hours 12 supernumerary hours 48-hour contract: 24 clinical hours 24 supernumerary hours Salary & Benefits £42,000 – £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications) Company pension scheme Discounted or free meals Free on-site parking Health & wellbeing programme Referral programme About You Registered General Nurse (RGN) with 6–8 years post-registration experience Previous experience in a senior nurse or deputy management role within a care home (highly desirable) Confident clinical leader with excellent organisational and communication skills Committed to safeguarding, quality improvement, and resident-focused care Able to manage teams, prioritise workloads, and respond effectively to emergencies Why Join?
