The RoleWe are looking for a Solicitor to join our team in Harrogate. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of claims which are being pursued against NHS Trusts and/or General Practitioners. You will work on a wide variety of complex defendant claims covering all aspects of medical practice and will also have the opportunity to assist Associates and Partners with high‑value claims.
YourKey Responsibilities Will Include But Not Limited To
- Pre‑action investigation of claims
- Litigation & costs management
- Interviewing clinicians and drafting witness statements
- Instructing medical experts
- Multi‑party litigation
- ADR & mediation
- Preparation for and attendance at trials
- Relevant experience of clinical negligence claims from either a defendant or claimant law firm
- Excellent legal skills/knowledge and willingness to take on a varied and sometimes complex workload
- Excellent time management and organisation skills, including time recording
- Compliance with all internal & client protocols, including data security guidelines
