Excellent opportunity for a college trained engineer to build a career in CNC machining.
Have you recently completed an NVQ Level 2 or 3, HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering?
This role is ideal for someone who has gained machining experience during their studies and is eager to pursue CNC machining as a full-time career.
Working with experienced engineers, you will help manufacture high-quality, precision-engineered components for a wide range of industries.
The RoleAs a CNC Machinist, you will:
- Learn to set and operate CNC lathes and milling machines
- Work from engineering drawings and specifications
- Assist with machine set-ups and tooling changes
- Produce high-quality precision components
- Carry out quality checks and inspections
- Develop your understanding of CNC programming
- Gain experience working on small batch and one-off components
- Learn from experienced machinists and engineers
We would like to hear from candidates who:
- Have recently completed an NVQ Level 2 or 3, HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Have some practical workshop, manufacturing, or machining experience through college, apprenticeships, work placements, or employment
- Can read or are keen to learn how to read engineering drawings
- Are comfortable using computers and willing to learn CNC controls and programming
- Have a positive attitude and strong willingness to learn
- Are reliable, enthusiastic, and keen to build a long-term engineering career
Apprentice-trained candidates are particularly encouraged to apply
