Hours:

Part-time and full-time hours available, 22.5 - 37.5 hours per week (shifts include nights and weekends)

Salary: £42,313.23 per annum FTE, rising to £43,505.98 per annum FTE (split of 55% of shifts in social hours/45% unsocial)

Your role as a Hospice Nurse

As a Hospice Nurse, you’ll lead by example in delivering high‑quality, holistic care within our welcoming inpatient unit. You’ll provide vital support not just to patients, but to families and colleagues helping to create an environment of trust, peace, and compassion, and work in a close‑knit team where kindness, empathy, and clinical expertise truly matter.

This Hospice Nurse role is based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire and is commutable from areas including Ripon, Leeds and York.

In this role, you’ll:
  • Develop tailored care plans, administer medication and manage symptoms to ensure comfort
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and manage patient admissions and discharges
  • Provide emotional support for patients and families, offering compassionate care
About you:
  • A registered nurse with a valid nursing qualification, 2‑years post‑qualification experience and current NMC registration having passed your first validation
  • A passion for palliative, hospice, or specialist ward care
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, empathetic approach to complex care situations
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a close‑knit team
