Lead Scientist – LCMS Our largest UK site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Lead Scientist to join the LCMS team.

Responsibilities include:
Lead scientific activities supporting method development, validation, and sample analysis projects Serve in key study leadership roles (e.g., Study Director, Principal Investigator, Responsible Scientist) for regulated and non-regulated studies.
Develop, review, and approve protocols, validation plans, reports, and study data.
Provide scientific oversight to ensure compliance with GLP, GCP, regulatory, and client requirements.
Act as the primary scientific contact for clients, defining project requirements and managing scientific expectations.
Identify and resolve scientific challenges, risks, and scope changes throughout the study lifecycle.
Provide technical expertise and support assay troubleshooting and scientific investigations.
Lead, mentor, and develop scientific staff while fostering collaboration and a culture of quality.
Manage multiple complex projects, ensuring delivery to quality, timeline, and client expectations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance scientific excellence and client satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant scientific discipline.
Significant experience in bioanalytical method development, validation, and regulated study conduct within a Contract Research Organization (CRO) environment.
Previous experience as a Study Director (SD), Principal Investigator (PI), and/or Responsible Scientist (RS) is required for regulated bioanalytical studies.
Thorough understanding of GLP, GCP, and applicable global regulatory requirements governing bioanalytical studies.
Proven ability to interpret complex scientific data, troubleshoot technical issues, and make sound scientific and regulatory decisions.
Excellent client management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience building and maintaining successful customer relationships.
Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and project management experience, including oversight of scientific staff and management of multiple concurrent projects.
Ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining scientific quality, regulatory compliance, and exceptional attention to detail.
