As one of our Trading Assistants, you’ll be the special ingredient that ensures our stores are set up brilliantly to give our customers everything they come to Sainsbury’s for.

• Minimum application age 18 due to working hours and the type of goods (alcohol, tobacco etc) you may be required to handle.

• Location:
  
  This role is based in Harrogate on Cold Bath Road (HG2 0NJ
  ). Please review the store’s location and ensure you can reliably travel for the advertised shift patterns.
• Transport:
  Applicants must have access to reliable transport prior to applying, as public transport does not operate reliably at the required start and finish times.

• Early morning shifts starting at 06:30 am
• Late evening shifts finishing at 11:00 pm

• Hours:
  
  Specific days and times will be confirmed  successful candidate will work 12 hours per week, typically on late‑night shifts, with flexibility to increase up to 16 hours per week, covering both early mornings and late evenings.
• Commitment:
  This is a permanent position requiring year‑round availability, including peak trading periods such as Christmas, Easter, and summer months.

• Work as part of a small team to ensure the store is ready for customers, providing a convenient and speedy shopping experience.
• Collect stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15 kg) to replenish shelves across the store, serve customers at checkouts, support deliveries and keep the store well‑presented, clean and tidy.
• Picking and selecting the best quality products on the shop floor for customers using our On‑Demand grocery ordering service and assisting customers with Click & Collect parcels.
• Always ready to serve customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions and proactively offering help.
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations.
• Date‑check fresh produce and grocery products.

• Has great attention to detail, keeping the store clean and clutter‑free, always looking to create the best shopping experience for our customers.
