Business Development Manager - Media

Salary: Up to £35,000

Commission: Realistic OTE £65,000+

Location: Harrogate

Working Style: Hybrid Working & Field Based

Requirements: B2B sales - Prospecting to Closing In-Person Sales

We’re recruiting for a fast-growing Media & Marketing business based in Harrogate. Industry background is less important than your ability to sell, your hunger to succeed, and your track record of smashing targets
.

The Role

This is a full 360, new-business sales role where your success will be measured by results. You’ll take ownership of the entire sales cycle, from prospecting through to close, building long-term, high-value client relationships across a range of sectors. You’ll sell a mix of media, advertising, and promotional solutions, tailoring your approach to each client and being rewarded directly for the revenue you generate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify, target, and win new business opportunities
  • Build, manage, and convert a strong sales pipeline through consistent prospecting
  • Conduct face-to-face client meetings to uncover needs and present solutions
  • Negotiate, close, and onboard new clients
  • Consistently meet and exceed revenue targets and KPIs
  • Develop long-term client relationships to maximise repeat business and account value
About you
  • 3+ years of proven sales success in a target-driven environment
  • Strong motivation to earn commission and be financially rewarded for performance
  • Confidence, resilience, and the ability to handle objections and rejection
  • Exceptional negotiation abilities and a natural closer
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude with genuine hunger to win new business
  • Experience in B2B sales, business development, and consultative selling
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-led environment

A natural hunter who enjoys the chase, loves closing deals, and wants to be rewarded for the effort they put in. You don’t need specific industry experience, if you’ve sold successfully before and are driven by results, earnings, and progression, you’ll fit right in.
