Painter & Decorator – Harrogate

Full Time position (40 hours) – £15 - £17 p/h (depending on experience)

We’re looking for a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our maintenance team at the Army Foundation College in Harrogate, supporting both the main site and Family Forces Accommodation. You’ll deliver high‑quality painting, decorating, and minor maintenance works, primarily focused on scheduled lifecycle projects.

• Carrying out internal and external painting and decorating, including surface prep, finishing, and small repairs.
• Working efficiently to complete planned projects to a high standard.
• Coordinating with the helpdesk and line manager to manage appointments and workload.
• Managing materials responsibly and maintaining stock levels.
• Collaborating with other trades to deliver a smooth, high‑quality service.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with risk assessments and health & safety procedures.

• Proven experience in painting and decorating roles.
• High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively.
• Flexible approach to working hours and responsibilities.

• Experience working in military, housing or facilities management settings.
• Awareness of health & safety practices and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of estimating materials and time for jobs.
