The Farm Assistant will assist with animal care and clinical skill lab preparation under the direction of the designated staff and faculty.
Qualifications- Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; experience handling dogs and cats.
- Preferred Qualifications: Some college education in veterinary-related field.

- Participate on university committees
- Assist the designated Faculty to provide clinical and lab experiences for students in an efficient, professional, and authoritative manner
- Assist with preparation for laboratories including organization of resources, including faculty, animals, student groups, equipment for laboratory, and consumables for laboratories
- Assist with lab clean up
- Assist with handling, maintenance, monitoring, and treatment of the small animals housed at the DeBusk Veterinary Teaching Center
- Ensure that all OSHA and USDA guidelines are implemented in student clinical activities
- Assist with medical records of animals that are used in teaching, comply with all IACUC guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
