Assistant Professor of Computer Science

Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) invites applications for a full‑time Assistant Professor of Computer Science in the Department of Mathematics, Physics, & Computer Science on the Harrogate, Tennessee campus. We seek an enthusiastic educator with a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field to contribute to our undergraduate curriculum. The successful candidate will teach a broad range of courses in areas such as artificial intelligence, network security, software engineering, or other computer science topics aligned with departmental priorities and the candidate’s expertise.

This role is primarily teaching focused (~80%), with additional expectations in scholarship, service, and opportunities to mentor undergraduate research. New faculty participate in LMU’s New Faculty Academy and receive departmental mentoring. Candidates should demonstrate potential for effective teaching and scholarly activity. Prior college-level teaching experience is preferred. This position supports LMU’s mission and values, with a commitment to student engagement and inclusive excellence.
