The instructional faculty member shall have the primary responsibility of the teaching function and shall be held accountable for the teaching obligations as it contributes to the attainment of the mission of the University, the School, and the Department.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of a master’s degree in nursing required for all CSON faculty positions; a doctorate in nursing encouraged.
  • Doctorate required for teaching in the CSON graduate programs; doctorate in nursing recommended.
  • Current unrestricted Tennessee licensure and licensure in other states if required for teaching/clinical supervision.
  • Current Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification.
  • Evidence of potential for effective teaching and scholarly activity.
