Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Conveyancer to join our busy and growing legal team in Harrogate. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and client-focused professional to manage a diverse caseload of residential property transactions from instruction to post-completion.

As a Conveyancer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice and exceptional service to clients, guiding them through what can often be a complex process. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth and efficient property transactions while upholding the highest standards of legal practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and new builds.

• Providing clear, concise, and timely legal advice to clients.

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, transfers, and other legal documents.

• Conducting comprehensive due diligence, including reviewing search results, title documents, and enquiries.

• Liaising effectively with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors.

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal regulations and professional standards.

• Proactively identifying and resolving potential issues or risks.

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client files and utilising case management systems efficiently.

• Managing financial aspects of transactions, including ledger reconciliation and billing.

• Contributing to the overall success and reputation of the conveyancing department.

About You:

• Proven experience as a Conveyancer, managing your own caseload of residential property transactions.

• A solid understanding of the full conveyancing lifecycle, from instruction to post-completion.

• Excellent legal technical knowledge in residential property law.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.

• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deadlines effectively.

• Proficient in using conveyancing case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.

• A client-centric approach, committed to delivering exceptional service.

• Relevant legal qualification (e.g., Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or CILEx Fellow) is highly desirable but significant equivalent experience will be considered.
