Accounts Senior

Location: Greenhill

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a lovely, relaxed independent accountancy practice based in Herne Bay.

This is a varied general practice position where you will manage a portfolio of owner managed businesses, providing a broad range of accounting and advisory services. The firm offers a friendly, supportive working environment with an excellent reputation and a genuinely relaxed culture.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns

Completing bookkeeping and VAT returns

Managing a varied portfolio of owner managed business clients

Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries

Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members where appropriate

Requirements

Have experience working within an accountancy practice

Be AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified, part qualified, or qualified by experience

Have a strong understanding of accounts preparation, tax, bookkeeping and VAT

Be confident communicating directly with clients

Have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Enjoy working within a friendly, collaborative environment
