Tax Senior

We are working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice that is looking to appoint an experienced Tax Seniorto join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tax professional looking to develop their career within a supportive practice environment, with exposure to a varied portfolio of clients and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility.

The successful candidate will have previous experience within an accountancy practice and be confident managing a range of personal and business tax matters.

• Managing a portfolio of personal and business tax clients.
• Preparing and reviewing Self-Assessment and Corporation Tax returns.
• Preparing tax computations and supporting schedules.
• Providing clients with practical tax advice and identifying tax planning opportunities.
• Assisting with year-end accounts and tax-related queries where required.
• Managing client deadlines and ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Dealing directly with HMRC on behalf of clients.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with clients.
• Supporting junior members of the team and reviewing work where appropriate.
• Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensuring compliance with relevant requirements.

The ideal candidate will have:

• CTA or ATT qualification is essential
• Previous tax experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK personal and/or corporate taxation.
• Experience preparing Self-Assessment and Corporation Tax returns.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Good communication and client relationship skills.
• The ability to manage a varied workload and work to deadlines.
• Strong IT skills and experience using accountancy/tax software.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of your work.
