Purpose

In this role, you will be responsible for designing intuitive and engaging user experiences across our product portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, and product, to bring your designs to life and ensure they meet the needs of our users.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business goals.
  • Create engaging, visual, and interactive user experiences that are accessible.
  • Perform usability testing and iterate designs based on feedback and data.
  • Present ideas and designs and explain rationale to senior stakeholders.
  • Document design decisions and update the relevant style guides to support the implementation of designs.
  • Own the design and experience of the product you are working on, whilst ensuring the Lead Product Designer has oversight.
  • Continually keep yourself updated with the latest UI and UX changes in the industry and bring this back into your designs.
  • Support the Product Design Team with the day-to-day activities.
  • While not directly interacting with customers, your actions should align with upholding the FCA's Consumer Duty principles, thereby contributing to fair and beneficial outcomes for our clients.
About You
  • Ideally 3 years+ experience as a Product Designer.
  • Understanding of user-centered design methodology.
  • UI & UX design experience across mobile and web.
  • Understanding of Information architecture and interaction design (sitemaps, workflows, navigational flows).
  • Experience creating wireframes and prototypes.
  • Understanding of user research, usability testing, and translating insights into actionable design solutions.
  • Creation and maintenance of design systems and pattern libraries for consistency and scalability.
  • Ability to communicate your ideas in a clear and effective manner to both expert and non-expert audience.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a cross functional team.
  • Experience using tools such as Figma, Adobe CS, Miro.
  • Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5 and CSS

  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 standards for Accessibility.
  • Understanding of online usability analysis tools.

  • Reports to the Lead Product Designer.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • The successful candidate will be client focused, self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient.
